According to statistics from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Taiwan has added nearly 14,000 vulnerable families in the past year1, and most of these vulnerable families are young children. The economic and living conditions are extremely unstable, and they often face the problem of not knowing whether their next meal will be. Facing a difficult situation, the Andrews Charitable Association and Family Mart have jointly promoted the “Family Food Box Project” for two consecutive years, and have provided 14,650 boxes of supplies to help 5,500 children from vulnerable families solve the problem of three meals a day.
The Family Mart Love Food Box Project, in addition to donation support through “Family Family Change Donation”, “Family Mart App Mobile Donation”, and “FamiPort Small Amount Donation”, this year will expand the action of public welfare participation, and join hands with five major suppliers: “Longkou Fan, Hao Diyi Foods, Xindongyang, Glucose King Biotech, and Zhongxiang Foods” do public welfare together. As long as people go to the Family Mart convenience store to buy products designated by the five major companies mentioned above, the company will donate 2% of the product price to the “Family Mart Food Box Project” to help 5,500 underprivileged children eat less.
This year, Andrew also invited the national soul singer 9m88 to be the annual love ambassador and participate in this event, calling on the public to care for the disadvantaged so that children will no longer go hungry.
